7 Wonders of the Week: 2/20 - 2/26
The point of these blogs is to inspire wonder in your daily life. Curiosity and openness all leads to wonder, which, I believe, is one of the most profound emotions we could experience.
I’d love to hear from you – what wonder did you experience today? Send me a DM on Instagram or an email to let me know.
Here is some of my wonder from this week.
Monday, 2/20: Money Mondays is born.
When I was a kid, my parents did not have very much money. They always provided and we always had what we needed, but money was definitely a point of stress and struggle.
My mom always had a side hustle and when she started selling magnets, she became very interested in the energy of abundance and learning about money. Even when they had very little, I remember her saying things to me like:
“Em, money is just energy. There is enough money in the world that every single person could be a millionaire. You can always make more money. It’s just money.”
In fact, she had a cassette tape she had received in the mail with a recording of the song “If I Had A Million Dollars” by the Barenaked Ladies that her and I would play over and over and dance around to. We loved it so much.
All of that to say, even though money was a point of stress, my mother gave me such a gift in teaching me how to understand money at a young age. In my mid to late 20s I decided that I needed to understand more. So, I have spent A TON of time, energy and money of my own learning about the energy of money.
On Monday, I decided to go on my Instagram stories (felt nervous!) and record a little blurb about money. I think this will be a regular Monday tradition. What do you think?! If you weren’t watching on Monday, you can head over to my Instagram and look for the highlight “Money” to see what I shared. I’ll be back next Monday!
Tuesday, 2/21: Becoming unshakeable.
For the last few months, I have been recovering from childhood trauma that I did not remember until last year at age 29. In my healing journey, which was incredibly haunting and dark, I discovered Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), which has quickly changed my life.
It has taught me about the power of neutrality and regulation. Feeling super anxious and feeling extremely excited are two ends of the same stick. Instead, if we can view the events of our life as just that – events – without attaching meaning, we show up to our life as a neutral person. Embracing neutrality means that we can truly handle anything. And when we can handle anything, we become unshakeable.
Big thoughts, I know. I have done two sessions of rapid resolution therapy with a certified professional and it has completely enhanced my productivity, creativity, power and intuition. I am not the same person I was in December and for that I am so grateful.
Since those sessions, I found an RRT certified coach who runs an incredible online program called Regulate, which teaches you how to do the techniques on yourself. I started it this week and can confirm that it is life changing.
Wonder, wonder everywhere.
Wednesday, 2/22: The energetics of your email inbox.
I wrote an almost $7k email for one of my clients this week and it had me interested. “What happened here?” I wrote a whole post about it on Instagram, but it also had me thinking about the overall energetics of our email inboxes.
How does your inbox make you feel? Chaotic? Generic? Overwhelmed? Inspired?
If you are receiving emails that suck energy out of you or don’t leave you in some kind of uplifted mood, PLEASE take the time to unsubscribe from the list. It doesn’t take much time and is so crucial for minimizing energy leaks. Kind of like a digital spring cleaning?
Thursday, 2/23: Being in bliss and allowing more in.
I had a moment today where I realized that I am truly thriving right now. In the last few weeks I feel as if I have quantum leaped into a new reality. I’ve never been one to slow down and really take that all in.
Today I stopped and really just celebrated where I am right now. Nowhere close to where I am going and simultaneously exactly where I was dreaming of being a few months (and years!) ago.
When we are in a blissful state, can we allow more in?
I think most of us have a hard time believing that life can be this good, so my question for you, wherever you are today: Can you allow more goodness and thriving into your life? Can you appreciate where you are today knowing that you will never be at this very level or state of mind ever again? There is so much bliss to be found exactly where you are today. Let’s enjoy without trying to get to the next stage too quickly.
I pulled open an oracle deck I love this week and received the “ping” to turn to number 223. Can you believe the synchronicity of this message?
Friday, 2/24: Sweet potato, cauliflower, walnut and pesto?
Here’s a funny: I used to post recipes I was eating (when I was going through the many phases of my health journey and diets), even though cooking has never really been my thing!
Occasionally, I throw together a fun combination of vegetables that really hits the spot and I did that tonight.
Sweet potato and orange cauliflower baked in avocado oil, black pepper, salt and garlic powder. Added toasted walnuts and parmesan cheese with pesto for dipping. SO GOOD.
I was also inspired today to begin coaching again… Not sure what I am doing with that yet, but considering opening a few health/life coaching sessions. Would you be interested? Let me know!
Saturday, 2/25: Releasing tension.
As with most joys in life, it’s all about the small things. This week in particular, since I have been doing the Regulate class (have I mentioned life changing?!), I noticed that I was unconsciously holding so much tension in my jaw.
What does that mean?
Well, it is just information. If we were in a situation where we needed to fight and bite something, our body will send energy and anger to our jaw to make that happen. But we don’t live in a world where we go around biting wild animals anymore, so now energy is sent to our jaw and puts us into a state of fight or flight when that’s not essential or valuable at this time.
I used the Regulate recordings to create my own recording and allow my jaw to release and soften. I can make guesses at what some of the anger was from, it did not really matter that I fully understood it. I just knew that the anger was not useful for me now.
My jaw is not perfect, but it is so much better, which feels really good. It’s difficult to go around carrying anger we don’t know about that is manifesting in our physiology.
So my wonder for Saturday? Releasing tension in my jaw. A miracle.
Sunday, 2/26: Trust the magic that is within you.
I’ve been having very vivid dreams the last few days that have almost been blowing my mind. I wake up knowing things before they happen or before people tell me about them. Pregnancies, engagements, it has honestly been wild.
What I am being asked to remind you is that you know everything you need to know. It is already inside of you.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a course, class or good “how-to” book, but the purpose of those is really to expand the mind and open you up to your own Knowing. To remind you of the wisdom within.
Trust your inner Knowing. You are pure magic. Start acting as such.
Xoxo,
Em
