Creation is my love language
I wrote a post on social media recently that said “creation is my love language.”
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d riff a little about love languages.
It came to me because even dating apps are asking you to identify your love language now and that kind of gave me a good chuckle.
You think you are going to KNOW me or that we are a perfect match because we share the same love language?!
Sorry, but I’m not buying it. Statistics say that if there are 5 love languages we are 20% likely to match. I mean, I don’t know, but that doesn’t really scream true love to me.
It’s not that I don’t care about love languages. I’m ‘into’ this shit—give me any quiz that helps me better understand myself and loved ones and I am ALL IN.
But more than how you receive love, I want to know what you are creating in your life.
I believe we were all born as creators. I believe that we are creating our reality in every single moment through our thoughts, our beliefs, our words and our actions.
We are all constantly being programmed through what we consume.
I’ve been known to say that music is my love language. Honestly, if you send me a song that you think I’d like on a daily basis, I feel SEEN.
And recently, I’ve even been looking at songs I like. There’s a shocking number of them (that I know all the words to) that sing about poverty and not having ‘enough’ and I am seriously questioning what I am listening to.
Because we are constantly creating.
That’s the real shit I care about.
What are you creating through what you constantly talk about?
Do you pay attention to the words that you use in daily conversations?
Do you love yourself enough to create joy, inspiration and the life you’ve always imagined?
I care less about how you receive love and more about what you are creating.
I desire more time spent talking about new ideas than gossip about others.
I desire more songs written from a place of creation, joy and love.
I desire more time spent speaking and writing my dreams into existence with people who elevate and inspire me to live as my Highest Self.
New standards. Constant up-leveling.
